Lefty Track Day at AAA Speedway

Headed out to Auto Club Speedway for their annual Lefty’s Track Day charity event. A record number of cars came out this year to support the event. Two of North County’s Corvette clubs drove up for exclusive track time as did one of the local DeLorean clubs. Lefty’s Track Day lets you experience the thrill of driving your car or truck around the 2-mile oval for a good cause!  100% of your track lap and pace car ride donations benefit local schools and Lefty’s Reading Challenge.  Donate a children’s book (new or lightly used) and receive a discount on your lap fee!  All books received will be given to the Inland Empire United Way’s School Tools program for local classrooms. This year $4400 was raised. Highlights for me personally was riding shotgun in a 1959 Vette around the speedway shooting photos and seeing people in just beater cars go out for a lap. It was a fun event for everyone who came out. [pp_gallery gallery_id=”1297″]
